I was curious about Drunk Elephant, so I bought The Littles discovery set.

I’ve exchanged brief messages with founder Tiffany Masterson via Linkedin and found her very responsive and friendly. I haven’t tried all the products in the discovery set. Here are the ones I’ve tried:

  • Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser
  • Lalo Retro Whipped Cream
  • T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum

Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser is the gentlest cleanser that I have used. I like to do a double cleanse with DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser. Lalo Retro Whipped Cream is a very good moisturizer with a whipped consistency. While I had  no problem with the T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum the first time I used it, I experienced irritation the second time I used it. I skipped all treatment serums and used gentle creams to soothe the irritation the following day.

Of the three products, I’d be most inclined to buy Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser. Fortunately, there is a sample in Sephora’s 2019 Birthday Gift!

Dear Dahlia is a makeup brand from Korea, but it projects a glamorous image rather than the cutesy image that other Korean makeup brands project.

It’s also cruelty-free, clean beauty, and vegan.

I discovered Dear Dahlia through Facebook and its targeted ads. I was enchanted by its faux-marble packaging and ordered its Paradise Dual Palette in Lady Oxford.  Dear Dahlia mailed my package from Seoul and I had to sign for the package at the Post Office.  The lady at the counter looked at my package quizzically.  Maybe she was from Korea. I told her it was makeup.

As you can see from the picture above, the Paradise Dual Palette has a matte eyeshadow duo on one side and a creme blush/lip tint on the other.  The eyeshadow duo could also be used to fill in the eyebrows.  In other words, a complete look from a tiny compact.

Urban Decay dupes from Aldi (UK)!

Get The Gloss is a women’s lifestyle website from the UK. It recently published an article about dupes of Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes from Lacura, Aldi’s skin care and cosmetics line (yes, Aldi).

Here’s Aldi’s dupe of the Urban Decay Naked Heat eyeshadow palette:

The Lacura eyeshadow palettes don’t compare to Urban Decay’s palettes in quality. Each Lacura eyeshadow palette costs £5.99 or US $7.63, while Urban Decay’s palettes costs £39.50 or US $50.00.

I searched Aldi’s U.S. site, but I couldn’t find Lacura makeup there.

Cosmetically speaking, there is nothing that excites me as much as lipstick.  If any makeup item adds pow! to your look, it’s lipstick.

Now fast fashion retailer Zara is launching a range of matte lipsticks in 12 shades and liquid lipsticks in eight shades.

The line launched on zara.com on December 5.

Cosmo UK says:

The brand is calling this their “initial launch”, which we’re hoping means there is plenty more to come.

So do I: namely creme and satin lipsticks.
